BIOGRAPHY
Frederic Kirstein is a postdoctoral researcher in Natural Language Processing. He obtained his PhD from the University of Göttingen after conducting his doctoral research at Mercedes-Benz AG in Böblingen. He completed his BSc and MSc in Computer Science, with a minor in Physics, at Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. During his graduate studies, Frederic was primarily active in Computer Graphics and VR, developing projects such as the VR visualization of the IceCube project and the Virtual Reality Experiment (VRE) at JGU Mainz. He tackled challenges in Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing (NLP) across multiple Deep Learning competitions and shifted his focus entirely to NLP after graduation.
