BIOGRAPHY
Adam works on detecting fake news and deepfakes, in the realm of text, audio, video, and multimodal. Prior to Ph.D. work, Adam studied applied mathematics and computer science at the University of Southern California. Outside of Ph.D. work, Adam works with nonprofits and universities on software contracts related to data extraction, processing, and visualization. He has done past research in computation counterexample generation in combinatorics, as well as media processing and analysis. In his free time, he enjoys climbing, traveling, and reading.
RESEARCH INTERSTS
Adam focuses on quantifying misinformation, extremism, and hate speech. His goal is to grow machine capabilities in understanding and preventing malicious content online, as well as correlating digital hate to physical harm.
